What Does A Level English Involve?
A Level English involves a range of activities and topics – from reading, analysing, and discussing literature from various eras, right through to studying language, grammar, and usage.
As a student of this course, you can also expect to explore the history of the English language and its development over time, in addition to assessing current affairs through written texts such as newspapers, magazines and websites.
Another key aspect of this course will be understanding how to write in different forms such as essays, reports, stories or poems, as well as delving into cultural contexts and theories. We have both A level English language tutors and A level English literature tutors available to support you.
Some of the main topics you can expect to encounter during your A Level study include:
