What Does A Level Maths Involve?
Studying A Level maths will require students to take their knowledge and understanding to the next level, as they explore more advanced concepts in algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics.
Over the course of your study of A Level maths, you will be expected to develop your knowledge and capabilities in topics such as vectors, matrices, numerical methods, and coordinate geometry. Furthermore, you will need to learn more complicated applications of algebra, such as solving simultaneous equations and partial fractions.
Analytics and decision maths, as well as more advanced mechanics, may also be topics that a student needs to cover, alongside the ability to solve theoretical problems, and to work with probability and proof. Generally, topics and content will become more abstract and complex, with a greater emphasis on proof and logical thinking, which is why having an A level math tutor can help you to progress.
